First day at LoringDecember, 1954 - Winter (heavy, or course) - taking new assignment during conversion from KC-97's to the KC-135 Stratotanker - moving from Tucson, Arizona to Loring A.F.B. - in one word: stark

 

Most memorable experience: Driving from Loring to Seattle with family to attend tanker instructor school in Renton, Washington (Boeing) - then back to Loring via Merced, California and Tucson, Arizona.

 

Last Day at Loring: March, 1961 - Spring (heavy winter) - taking new assignment with B-58's - moving from major snow conditions to desert-like conditions at Carswell.
