It was so cold and I never experienced so much snow. Most Memorable Experience: Last Day at Loring: Wonderful. I was returning to civilization and was transferred to McGuire AFB, NJ. What did you do after Loring? I was transferred to McGuire AFB where I stayed for 5 years and then was transferred to the USAF Military Personnel Center for 4 years. I finished out my career at Hq USAFE, Wiesbaden, Germany. I retired in 1971 as a SMSGT. I then took a position as the Budget Officer at the USCG Academy, New London, CT and retired from there in 1993. At the age of 62, I went back to college and received a BS in history and a Masters degree in theology.
