Hometown: Newington CT
Unit at Loring: 42 FMS Hydraulic Shop
First day at Loring:
Nervous with anticipation of what to expect. Was staying in building 6000 temp quarters untill I was assigned to FMS quarters.
Most memorable experience:
Did not miss those harsh winters when working outdoors. I saw a B52 catch fire and burn on the ramp. Also, was part of the detail that searched for human remains and specific aircraft parts of the B52 that crashed south of the runway in a potato field.
Last Day at Loring:
Can't remember but probably very happy I was leaving Loring.
