Home Town:
Unit at Loring: 42nd Air Base Group
First Day at Loring: It was December 1957 and cold with about two feet or more of snow.  Overcast and I was just settling in.  I had a room with just one other Airman who was gone most of the time.
Most Memorable Experience:
Last Day at Loring: It was a happy time.  Having endured two winters at Loring and I was PCS-ing to Ramey AFB, Puerto Rico.  No more snow or cold.
What did you do after Loring? I finished college, reenlisted once for a base of choice...Oxnard AFB, Californina, got a job in the intelligence business with the Navy (Vietnam War, but I was not in Vietnam).  I recevied a commission as a Marine Corps officer and served 28 years with the Corps, retiring from the Reserve as a Colonel.  Awards included the Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal and some others others.  Currently working for the Diplomatic Security Service in Washington, DC.
