Hometown: Cumming, Ga Unit at Loring: 42nd AMS First day at Loring: COLD. I remember driving up from NY, crossing the Maine border and thinking "Wow, I am just about there". It was December, the snow was over the top of my car high and I was thinking, what have I gotten into. Most memorable experience: I remember a local farmer who got exceptionally plastered, they found him on his skidoo sledding through the alert area. Last Day at Loring: Funny, I don't remember my last day at Loring.
What did you do after Loring: Air Force wise, I was off to Ramey, then back to the frozen wastelands of Elsworth. After the Air Force, a 34 year service as a civilian in the Dept of Defense - including 23 years at the Pentagon. If you agree, people can contact you at (email):larryb.berger@gmail.com |
