First day at Loring:

To be perfectly honest, I don't remember.

Most memorable experience:

Last Day at Loring:

I have no problem remembering my last day there, it was November 22, 1963, the day President Kennedy was shot. I was on my way to base HQ to sign my release papers when I heard it on the radio.

What did you do after Loring:

I moved from Illinois to Arizona and retired from US Postal service. I and my wife have both been very active in The American Legion. We were the first husband and wife to serve as Department Commander and Auxiliary Department President at the same time in the Department of Arizona.
