Hometown: Seymour, Connecticut Unit at Loring: 3080th AP First day at Loring: It was a welcome change to be back in my home area (born in Caribou - moved to Connecticut in 1957). It was a strange feeling to be dropped off at Caribou Air Force Station with all its security fences and secure areas. I previously did not know the place even existed. Most memorable experience: My favorite story is about a roommate who drove head-on into a telephone pole while on patrol "because he was looking over his shoulder at something he thought he saw outside the perimeter fence". Last Day at Loring: Bitter-sweet. I had great duty and worked with wonderful people (for the most part). I just felt I had to get out and get an education/
What did you do after Loring: Graduated from college; survived two marriages; and raised six kids. Spent over thirty years in the financial services industry, mostly banking. If you agree, people can contact you at (email): bigdodger1@aol.com |
