Home Town: Hellertown, PA
Unit at Loring: 42nd OMS
First Day at Loring: "Very confusing.....Was scared to death when I got my winter clothes issue.
What the hell was all this stuff for??  I asked why the fire hydrants had long poles on them.  I was told that was so they could find them in the snow!!
When we checked into the Squadron, Capt. Mulford was working on the engine of his car, & asked us if anyone knew anything about Chryslers.  He was in his dress blues that were all dirty from working on the car.
We were told to expect more snow & cold than we EVER SAW before!!
There was a LOT more to come..........."
Most Memorable Experience: "     Good times with all my buddies on the flightline  as well as off.
Madawaska was always our destination.  Poppa Joes Bar, Caanans, Arsenaults, North Star, Etc.  PLUS the Canadian side.
God Bless everyone I was there with."
Last Day at Loring: "    It was the HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!
I couldn't wait to put as much distance between myself and the Base as possible.  I HATED the place!!  Even ""Stinking Lincoln"" smelled good!!
I stopped for the night in Conneticut, & put a dent in a bottle of Sloe Gin & Vodka.
After a good night's sleep, I got home & my life began."
What did you do after Loring? "     Became a GM Mechanic, then went on to Kraft Foods as a Mech & Machinist & Welder for 17 1/2 yrs.  Then on to Ford Electronics for 15 yrs. until retirement.
     Am presently retired."
