Celebrating 40 years of marriage this year.

Hometown:  Albany, NY

Unit at Loring:  42 OMS

First day at Loring:

My first day was exciting. Reported to my assigned unit, and directed to

the 1st Sgt. Ron Silvert and I reported together, he was assigned to

the bomber section, and I to the tanker section. I could not belived the size of this base.

Most memorable experience:

The time I was headed back to base late at night in a snowstorm. I was driving a bunch of us from Caribou back to base. As I made the left turn down the hill toward the west gate the car went into a spin, and spun circles all the way down the hill and we stopped into a large snowbank.

It was like a large pillow. I still laugh about it today.

Last Day at Loring:

Kind of sad in some ways. I was leaving the only life I knew, and my wife and I were headed out to a new and exciting adventure.

What did you do after Loring:

Moved to NY, had 3 children worked for Verizon communications for 31 years.

Joined the Army Reserves and retired in 1995.

Finally retired and now I live in Florida.
