Hometown:  Greenwich, Connecticut

Unit at Loring:  42 AMMS

First day at Loring:

Drove up to Loring with a classmate from Connecticut, we arrived around the first week of March. I could not believe all the snow. There was 108 inches of the white stuff on the ground. Welcome to Maine.

Most memorable experience:

I can't think of one favorite story. I have many stories, all having to do with the great people I met at Loring, and of course my classmates from 18042.

Last Day at Loring:

My last day at Loring was Feb. 18, 1966 and of course it was cold, but not snowing. I had to use some ether to get the Chevy started then off to Base Headquarters for final paperwork and pay.  My next stop was Caribou to pickup my fiance and my trip back to Connecticut.
