Home Town: East Rochester, NY
Unit at Loring: A&E / AMMS
First Day at Loring: Arrived on 10/10/60 along with fellow tech school classmate (and now long time friend) Bill Hoff.  Don't remember much about the first day, but I do recall that we got 15"-16" of snow overnight 4 nights later.  Sort of Mother Nature's "Welcome to Aroostook County" preview, as it were!
Most Memorable Experience: TBD ! However, I should mention that I have photos to validate that Bill Hoff's "Most Memorable Experience" is 100% true...it happened when we were all restricted to base during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Last Day at Loring: I left Loring on Feb 29th, 1964 with all my stuff in the back of Bruce Rahmlow's '34 Ford pickup truck, which I was helping him ferry back home when he got out a few weeks thereafter.  I stopped at the Hoff's in Caribou for a home-made spaghetti dinner and then headed down the road.  Mother Nature gave me a sendoff equal to my arrival and I hit some significant snows on the way down to Boston and was thankful for the weight of my stuff in the pickup's bed to help with the traction.
What did you do after Loring? Married my wife Roseann in Aug '64 and we have 4 daughters.  I got my forst civilian job with IBM's System Development Div. in Poughkeepsie, NY, got hooked on computers and made a career in Software Development Engineering.  Been retired since 2003.
