Home Town: Garnerville, New York
Unit at Loring: 42nd OMS
First Day at Loring: Got in late on plane ( Northeast Airlines ) in Presque Isle. Got to the base and they put us up for the night in temporary quarters after getting us something to eat. First full day was the next one and really do not remember anything.
Most Memorable Experience: Have a few but i guess just anything connected with all the traveling i got to do. As a KC-135 crew chief got to travel to Spain,England, Goose Bay Labrador. Thailand. Lost track of the number of times went back and forth across the Pacific Ocean ferrying fighters or bombers to and from VietNam. There were so many place i never would have gotten to see had i not been stationed at Loring.
Last Day at Loring: Exciting. For awhile i had considered reenlisting but my wife at the time did not  like the military. I remember just systematically going from one place to the other to check out and then leaving. I had a week off and then started work on the Presque Isle Police Department and was there for 7 1/2 years.
What did you do after Loring? Have 3 children, one grandchild and am remarried. As mentioned above was a Presque Isle Police office for 7 1/2 years. Then worked for Northrop Aircraft for 6 months in Oklahoma. Back to Maine and worked for Prudential Insurance for 14 years as an agent. Then for Key Investments ( KeyBank subsidiary ) as a stockbroker. Left there 3 years ago and now work for VALIC Financial Advisors as a financial adviser and planner.
