Home Town: Hamilton, Ohio
Unit at Loring: 42nd Supply
First Day at Loring: "The first day I arrived at Loring it was -29 degrees below. I received a parka to keep warm. I was an expediter in supply. My job was to order hi-priority aircraft components. My boss was Lt. Colonel Grant Ross Owens. I owned a 1965 Dodge Coronet 500,426,4-speed and we would go to Madawaska Maine every night. I enjoyed my job and met many friends. Vice-president Hubert H. Humphrey even. It was very cold and much snow!

Most Memorable Experience: My favorite story was going to Madawaska Maine and Edmunston Quebec. Also lac baker outside of edmunston Canada. I have many fond memories of the friends I had there and the civilians that worked on the base.
Last Day at Loring: "When I left Loring Afb I was happy to be leaving. I had 50 days leave accrued so I went to Rimouski Canada first then drove the trans canadian highway to Windsor locks Detroit Michigan and home.
What did you do after Loring? I went to Miami University worked for General Motors then later as a pulp engineer at a paper mill. I am retired now and enjoy travel.
