Home Town: DIXMONT, ME
Unit at Loring: OMS, TANKER TEAM 3
First Day at Loring: Arrived from Guam, in the winter...you figure it out!!!
Most Memorable Experience: My last TDY from there. Took off from Offutt, fully loaded with pax and fuel headed for Hickham. We were still climbing when #2 engine came unglued. Diverted to Bunker Hill, AFB and changed the engine. I stii have a compressor blade I picked out of the engine ring cowl.
Last Day at Loring: Bitter-sweet. There was a tanker off the end of the runway. Didn't know if it was one of my team's.
What did you do after Loring? Got my A&P ticket, which I started through the Loring Aero-club. Worked comercial aircraft at Bangor  Joined the Maine Air Guard as a full time technician. Retired as an E-8 in 2001.
