Hometown:  Enfield CT.

Unit at Loring:  27th Fighter Interceptor Squadron

First day at Loring: Cold, but nice to get off of 20 hour bus ride.  Also alittle bit confusing for the CQ.  I was assigned to the 27th but the confusion was that I was a  medic assigned to the flight surgeons office. They didnt know where to house me.

Most memorable experience:   Loved working at base hosp. with all those SAC guys.  I was happy to be the only medic assigned to the 27th, as far as most could remember.  I worked for Dr. Gary Ehrlic.

Last Day at Loring:   Very cold, but had new assignment to Perrin AFB, TX.

What did you do after Loring: Finished service time in NKP, Thailand.  Went to college on GI bill, achieved AA degrees, BS degree, Masters degree in criminal justice.  Worked 24 years in Dept.of Corrections at numerous positions.  Retired 12 years ag to Fort Meyers Beach.  Spend a few summer months in Maine.
