Home Town: Freeport, New York
Unit at Loring: 42 CDS & 42 CSG
First Day at Loring: Arrived at Base Headquarters and stepped off the bus into a drift of snow; then found out that I still had a ways to go to get to Flt D at 42nd CDS.
Most Memorable Experience: Hoofing it to the 42 CDS after curfew and was stopped by K-9 Security; never did that again.
Last Day at Loring: Finally left Northern Maine, but missed the routine of military life for quite awhile.  Went home by way of Quebec, Canada.
What did you do after Loring? Spent 8 years in New Jersey, then moved to Beauport, Quebec, Canada and have been there ever since.  Went to Laval University in Quebec and received my BA in Education.  Taught English as a Second Language until retirement in 2007.  For a couple of years tried a new line as International Director for a Quebec cheese company and got to travel around the states, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Dubai.
