Hometown:  Wells, Me

Unit at Loring:  42 FMS/AC Sheet Metal

First day at Loring:

Kind of confusing, still trying to shake the effects of Lackland and 16 wks. of tech school at Amarillo.  Hey, this isn't so bad......no one telling ya to fall in!

Most memorable experience:

One trip to hunt bear in the Allagash, never seen so many horseflys, greenheads, etc., DEER and no bear.  Great trip.

Last Day at Loring:

Felt like I lost my best friend, when in actuality, I took her with me, met her in '68 and four kids later, I thank the USAF for that.  The two plus years I spend at Loring will ALWAYS be remembered fondly.

What did you do after Loring:

Briefly did sheet rock and found Uncle again, via the USPS.  Retired in '92 with the enhanced buyout they offered.  Invested in stocks during the 'bubble'.....did well until it burst, then plowed snow (driveways) for a few years.  In a nutshell, not too much since leaving the USPS but sure do miss the USAF days!
