Home Town: Brookville
Unit at Loring: 42nd OMS
First Day at Loring: My first day at Loring AFB was a beautiful fall day. I drove to Loring from my home in Brookville Pa. in my brand new pickup truck. I went through the main gate and found my way to my dorm. I got there a couple of days early and found myself driving all over the base checking every thing out. I reported to the orderly room shortly after.
Most Memorable Experience: My favorite story would probably be meeting my wife at Loring. She was also stationed there. We did allot of camping and fishing, but most of all we enjoyed snowmobiling.
Last Day at Loring: My last days at loring were filled with exitement, I had gotten orders to go to Okinawa Japan for three years.
What did you do after Loring? I achieved my objectives for what I entered the AIR fORCE in the first place. I entered the Air Force to get an education. I earned a Community College of the Air Force Degree, A bachalor of science Degree, and an MBA, all done while I was still on actve duty at Minot AFB North Dakota. I retired in 1994 and in a few years finally earned my Ph.D in Aerospace Engineering.
