Home Town: Flandreau, SD
Unit at Loring: 42 SPS
First Day at Loring: Confusing although my sponsor, Capt Bill Beers, really helped us along
Most Memorable Experience: Guess the same story that Bill Beers relayed regarding the unkown aircraft (we believe chopper type) that was buzzing the base at night for 3-4 days.  Ironically we had a very similar situation when I arrived at Nakhon Phanom Royal Thjai AFB, Thailand in mid 1969.  Gosh maybe it was me they were after.
Last Day at Loring: I left my family at Loring when I went PCS to Ellsworth AFB, SD.  I left in April of 79 and the family stayed till the kids were out of school towards the end of May.  In other words my last day was rather hard and sad, but not sad to leave Loring.
What did you do after Loring? Spent 4 years at Ellsworth (79 - 82), 2 years on SAC IG team (82 - 84) and 2 years on SAC security police staff where I was the Wing Security Evaluation Team chief until I retired in 1986.  Moved to Nevada where I was Assistant General Manager of a casino in Pahrump, NV (86 - 95), then Rapid City, SD as Production Control Manager for a Black Hills Gold jewerly company then retired in December 2003 when I lost my wife to brain cancer.  Have since remarried and live in Sioux Falls, SD.
