Hometown:  minerva, ohio

Unit at Loring:  42nd SPS

First day at Loring:

Got off the plane at presque Isle, and couldn't believe how cold and how much snow was on the ground.  Processed in the next day.  The guys from the 42nd SPS really made me feel at home.

Most memorable experience:

Getting locked in the WAF'S dorm.  They locked the doors around midnight on the weekends.  I had to use the tunnels.  It seem to take forever, but I finally got caught and my butt chewed.

Last Day at Loring:

Very sad to leave Loring.  I made a lot of friends there on base and off.  I still miss it today.  I do take a trip up there every so often.  It was hard for me to say goodbye.

What did you do after Loring:

Working for the Postal Service for the past 31yrs.  I retired 1/01/10.
