Hometown:  Biloxi,MS.

Unit at Loring:  42 Supply SQ.

First day at Loring:

A Cold yet very bright day. Arrived late afternoon of December 2 1975 after driving up from Connecticut. Initially was a little depressed about the locale feeling that this was like being banished to Siberia (Heard that the climate and topography of both places are very similar) for my 1st duty assignment in the Air Force.

Remember meeting my 1st room-mate that day who was trying to get kicked out of the military (and succeeded) and the prevalence of illegal drug use in our barracks after duty hours and on weekends.

Most memorable experience:

Not all are "G" rated.

Last Day at Loring:

Bittersweet. Happy to be moving on to Florida for my Base of Preference Assignment (Nov 1978) but knowing at the same time that I was going to miss a lot of good friends from there.

What did you do after Loring:

Remained in the Air Force until 1999 when I retired as a Master Sergeant.

Since then I've worked for two private Defense Contractors and then the Veterans Administration where I still work.
