Hometown:  Alton NH

Unit at Loring:  42nd SPS

First day at Loring:

Lonely, I had been stationed at a detachment the 83rd FIS/ADC at Bangor Intl. Airport Bangor Maine. There were only a few of us cops at Bangor and when they closed it down I was the only one that went to Loring I got lost with the size of the place.

Most memorable experience:

I'll have to think about this one.

Last Day at Loring:

Good I was ready to move on. My wife and I went back to visit in 07 the place was empty I couldn't get over how quiet it was. Even after all those years I still remembered how busy the base was when I was there. Also at that visit I realized the impact that my time at Loring had on the rest of my life and now I'm glad that I served there.

What did you do after Loring:

After Loring I served two years at RAF Bentwaters. At that time I got out of thr AF went home and went to work for the NHDOT after 30 years there I retired in 05. Now I work at the NHARNG armory in concord.
