Home Town: Norfolk, VA
Unit at Loring: 42nd Security Police Squadron
First Day at Loring: It was cold and and my first duty day the SP squadron had been rocked with a BIG drug bust from OSI that decimated the squadrons personnel to skeleton crew we worked a rotating 12 hour shifts 3 days on days 1 day off and then 3 days on night shift for a very long time I think it was about 2-3 months.  before we had enough personnel to operate under regular shifts.
Most Memorable Experience: "I was walking in the woods enjoying the scenery and exploring nature when I stumbled upon a unsuspecting Moose. I had suprised it and ran over somthing metalic. with the combination of the noise and sudden movemnet from the moose, it scared me so much I let out a yell and ran the other way as the mosse was trying to run the other way as it was stumbling over the metal sheet on the ground.
 "
Last Day at Loring: It was exciting and sombering.  Exciting because I was leaving the COLD and going to Turkey but SOmbering because I had become acclimated to the area and enjoyed the various activities.
What did you do after Loring? I left the Air Force in 1984 due the Air Force draw down and worked at various employers for a year where I became a Police Officer at Suffolk, VA until 1992.  Dessert Storm started and I had to get back in and enlisted into the Army.  Managed to retire from the Army in AUG 2012. and I am working a Sear Holdings in Hoffamn Estates, IL.
