Home Town: Bridgeport,Ohio
Unit at Loring: 42nd Supply Squadron
First Day at Loring: The first day was in March of 1975,cold,wet,snow,and ice. I arrived at the Supply barracks where I met the CQ on duty.He was very friendly and helpful to this new airmen. I was assigned to my room,my roomate Kevin made me feel wecomed and was escorted to Admin. office  the next day.I was asssigned to the Bench Stock Support Unit of Supply.I looked for  my Panamanian friend from Lowery.
Most Memorable Experience: It was the time during our preparation for CAFI,our squadron had just finished painting everything in site.A female coworker had to use the lartrine butsomeone forgot to post wet paint signs. When she finished doing her business, she became stuck to the seat.I guess we kind of over did it with the painting.
Last Day at Loring: It was 27 Oct 1978,I left with my wife from back home and a two month old baby boy.Loring received it's first snowfall.I said my good byes to a great bunch of people. I already missed them before exiting the main gate. To this day I still miss them.Loring was my home away from home and everyone I met there was FAMILY.
What did you do after Loring? I 've had differ careers, parts mgr.,coal miner, and currently a steelworker for over 24 years but none as rewarding as the Air Force.
