Home Town: Phillipsburg, NJ
Unit at Loring: 42FMS (Jet Engine Shop)
First Day at Loring: Cold - Assigned to work on the flight line nights.

Most Memorable Experience: Motorcycle trip to Bar Harbor on my '69 Sportster with Rick Riebe (another Loring vet) riding his '48 Panhead.
Last Day at Loring: Valentine's Day '74 - many memories - such as when our son was born at base hospital in January '72. Had a hard time getting gas to get back home to New Jersey due to the oil embargo. Was only supposed to be able to get $5 per customer but attendant at last gas station in Mass. let me fill up when I told him I had just been discharged from the Air Force and was trying to get home.
What did you do after Loring? Product & tooling design engineer for Dixie Consumer Products (35 years - retired in 2013).
