Profile added 3/5/2010 12:38:27 PM

Hometown:  Troy, Ohio

Unit at Loring:  CBPO

First day at Loring:

Mid June, it was still cold there.  I drove to Loring from Ohio and was so glad to finally get out of the car.  Reported to the Orderly Room and was assigned to Bldg 6250, the new barracks.  Went to the NCO club and got a beer and started making friends.

Most memorable experience:

On one of the many camping/fishing trips we accidentally sunk my bronco in the Allagash River while trying to retrieve a full keg we put in the cold water.  It was a long trip home being towed behind a friends truck.

Last Day at Loring:

Mixed feelings.  I loved it there and hated it there.  I loved Maine and the people I met, but never wanted to see another snow flake as long as I lived.

What did you do after Loring:

Started a business, married had two children, divorced.  Now live in Florida
