Home Town: Boise, ID
Unit at Loring: 42 ARS
First Day at Loring: We got there two days after Thanksgiving, it started snowing and didn't stop for 24 hours, dropping 30 inches!  My wife and I both could imagine what we in for.
Most Memorable Experience: I would have to agree with my fellow Boom Operator Rick Taylor, it was the "animals in the woods" camping trip where we had an extremely large fire that could have set the Alegash ablaze.
Last Day at Loring: It was a pretty fall day in October, not to cold or wet.  It was a very bitter-sweet day, you couldn't stand Loring while you were there, but it sure was hard to leave!  Great friends and memories.
What did you do after Loring? I retrained to the flight engineer career field and flew C-130 out of Tucson AZ until retirement in 2003.  I'm currently a contract instructor flight engineer teaching new students about the EC-130.
