Hometown:  Union

Unit at Loring:  42 SPS

First day at Loring:  Dec-82

Most memorable experience:   It snowed for two hours on June 9, 1982. A native of South Carolina, I could hardly believe it could snow in June, but it sure did.

One night, I left the dormitory and ventured out to watch the yellow trucks that ate the snow and blew it away. I decided to put a red scarf in the path of the snow eater. When the truck driver saw red coming out of his snow stack, he stopped his truck, jumped down and ran to the front of this truck. When he discovered he had only ruined a scarf, he looked around and yelled some "special" words. I still smile when I think about that story.

Last Day at Loring:   Jun-85

What did you do after Loring: Retired after 21 years. Worked for a couple of employers. Opened two companies. Now, I'm a consultant for a North Carolina-based company.
