Hometown:  Johnson CIty TN

Unit at Loring:  42nd SPS

First day at Loring:  COLD !!! I had come from Howard AFB PANAMA.  I had left 110 temp and went to loring in Jan. where it was about 15 below when i got to LORING.  The nice thing was we got base housing the day we got there.  Housing handed us 3 sets of keys and told us to go

Most memorable experience:   Favorite story abot loring...too many to mention.  I was a cop there and worked with some of the best people in my career.  people like Rod Stearns, Russ Morvant, Dave King, Don Hebert, Dennis Smith, Richard Laliberty, and really too many to mention. Looking back, it was all my FAORITE.

Last Day at Loring:   Last day there....kinda sad. Not knowing what we were going to do for a job back home !  We just wanted out of the AF.  I just knew I knew more than all the people telling me to stay in.  They were right...

What did you do after Loring: A year after I got out and left Loring, I got to missing the AF. I joined the Tennessee Air National guard in Knoxville TN.  In 2005 I retired from there as a MSgt with 24 years, all I am proud to say as an Air Force SP.
