Home Town:    Dartmouth, Massachusetts
Unit at Loring:    42 SPS
First Day at Loring:    My first day was scary.  It was November of 1984.  I was a fresh AB out of BMT and Tech School going to a new life in the AIr Force.  I got up there at night.  SrA Brian picked me up at teh airport and took me to the SPS dorms where I stayed my first night in the "visitors room" (old barracks).  There was a SSgt's uniform already in there so that made me a bit nervous as well.  I barely slept that night and the next morning SrA Brian picked me up and took me to the squadron for in-processing and the beginning of my life at Loring.
Most Memorable Experience:
Last Day at Loring:    My last day was short.  I woke up in the morning, went downstairs to see Smitty (the Dorm Daddy - and my supervisor), said my goodbye's and jumped in my car and left.
What did you do after Loring?    From Loring I remained on Active Duty for another 7 years with PCS's to Lajes Field Azores, Hanscom Air Field in Massachusetts, and Elmendorf Alaska.  In 1993 I left Active Duty (from Elmendorf) and joined the 102nd Fighter Wing at Otis ANGB, on Cape Cod Massachusetts.  At approximately my 20 year mark, i left the Enlisted Force and went to "The Dark Side" and recieved my commission through AMS (Academy of Military Science) at McGhee Tyson ANGB in Knoxville TN.  In May of 2013, I transfered to the NHANG and am now a member of the 157th ARW.
