Hometown: Accident, Maryland

Unit at Loring: 42 OMS

First day at Loring:  I remember my first day at Loring on or about October. The weather was still warm as I remember and clearly remember telling a fellow squadron mate that I was from western Maryland and knew what winter was all about. I was wrong...Northern Maine gave me a new lesson in winter and cold.

Most memorable experience: Too many great and wonderful stories to mention here.

Last Day at Loring: My last day at Loring was a sad day, but also an exciting day as a new adventure awaited me. I remember looking in my vehicle's mirror at the gate as I departed and a flashback of my time there came to me and I felt a great sense of accomplishment and pride. A day and period in my life I will never forget.

What did you do after Loring: Since leaving Loring I have retired from the state of Maryland as a Corrections Officer and served as a Police Officer Sergeant in West Virginia. I am now married to a wonderful Lady with three great children and think of my time at Loring almost everyday.  Great times and great friends.
