Hometown:  Williams, AZ

Unit at Loring:  42 AMS / 42 CHS

First day at Loring:  I arrived in March of 1983 after my tech school training, Bomb Nav Systems Mechanic.  I was getting a tour from one of the SSgts and a snow snake grabbed me.  Learned to walk real lightly after that!

Most memorable experience:   Doing the river raft races in the 2 weeks that summer lasted up there. Also, Lena McCoy she was a cutie that worked in the 42 AMS Instrument shop if I recall correctly.

Last Day at Loring:   Wonderful ... packed everthing up in my pickup and drove to Lowry AFB, CO for retraining. Went to Clark AB, Philippines after that to THAW out.  Retired after 23 years, 5 months and 16 days as a MSgt.

What did you do after Loring: Retrained into the Space Systems Equipment Maintenance and Financial Analysis (Comptroller) career fields. I spent time at the following bases; Lowry AFB, Clark AB, Falcon AFB, Lajes Field, Peterson AFB, Charleston AFB, and retired at Kirtland AFB.  I have since joined the U.S. Forest Service and currently am the Budget Officer on the Kaibab National Forest, Williams, AZ.  I miss the Air Force and all the experiences, travel and great people that I've met in 23 and a half years of service.
