Hometown: Rock Island IL

Unit at Loring: 42 OMS/69 BMS

First day at Loring:  I was in shock... I landed in January and the snow was piled higher than my head.  I wondered what had I done and why had I agreed to a SWAP... I had originally been slotted for Plattsburgh, but another girl really wanted Plattsburgh and I didn't care where I went.... but yeah, I was in shock

Most memorable experience: Meeting my husband... he tells everyone he met me while picking up the trash... we were doing a FOD walk, middle of May 1991, snow was piled over my head, but we were out there in t-shirts... 20 years later he is still the love of my life

Last Day at Loring: Uh, still snow.  We packed out 15 April 1994... snow was even with the bottom of our first story windows.  We told the packers they wouldn't be able to get a semi up our driveway... they didn't believe us... we were right, they were wrong.   We also had a 6 week old baby and we had a 14 hour drive to PA then a 10 hour drive to OH...

What did you do after Loring: Moved several times, retired in 2008
