Home Town: Neenah, WI
Unit at Loring: 42nd AMS
First Day at Loring: Arrived in the middle of the night and a blinding snowstorm.  Got the moving van stuck trying to go up the hill after crossing the border in Van Buren, then couldn't see my way down the road.  Found a police officer who told me to follow a plow that was headed right toward Loring and arrived safely.  I loved every minute of it, I knew it was the place for me after that as I enjoy the winter and all sorts of outdoor recreation.
Most Memorable Experience: There are too many to list.  I would say the hunting and fishing trips I took rank very high, but also working 3rd shift on the flightline in winter and seeing the spectacular northern lights.
Last Day at Loring: Rather sad, I didn't really want to leave the AF and definitely didn't want to leave Loring.  Circumstances lead me back to WI and I still miss the area and local friends to this day.
What did you do after Loring? I stayed in the Air National Guard with the 115th FW in Madison WI and am the current Command Chief of the unit.  I have also worked in various positions in the healthcare industry from finance to IT leadership.
