Home Town: Greensboro, NC
Unit at Loring: 42nd ARS
First Day at Loring: Dec. 10th, 1991 was 9 below zero and I had just left seven years of tropical weather in Kadena.  Great group of dedicated people working in extreme weather conditions.  Wouldn't trade that time for anything!
Most Memorable Experience: Seemed like there was a party every weekend at somebodies place.  Lots of good times, good food, lots of booze and a life time of memories.  I think about it often.
Last Day at Loring: Flew with Rex Watson to take the last 135 down to Warren Robins.  Loring was a ghost town, most everybody was already gone, buildings being torn down, bitter ending for such a noble group of people and base.
What did you do after Loring? Went on to Niagara Falls and switched to the guard as civilian technician.  Finished twenty and retired from military and jumped to FAA.  Transferred to Greensboro NC in 2006, been there ever since.
