Hometown:  Limestone Maine

Unit at Loring: 42nd MMS

First day at LoringI was born and raised around Loring. So it's hard for me to say what my first day was. I do remember as a kid thinking how impressive the hangars were and wondering if the planes actually fit in them.

Most memorable experience: How I was born in the old hospital as my son was. My daughter was born in the new hospital. I'm proud that we were born on Loring.

Last Day at Loring: My last day on Loring was very sad. We had our orders to move to Mountain Home AFB in Idaho due to the Loring closing. It was hard to say goodbye to family and friends.

What did you do after Loring: Lived in Mountain Home and Boise Idaho for almost 20 years before moving back here to the county to be with family. I was shocked to how things have changed on Loring and wish we could go back to the old days of when Loring was a thriving place.
