Home Town: Stoneham, Ma
Unit at Loring: 42nd MMS
First Day at Loring: Cold
Most Memorable Experience: "To many to pick only one. I was fortunate to hang around with some great people who were always looking for something to do.
Trips to the Allagash, Bar Harbor and Baxter State park. My roommate Frank Czorba and I thinking we could build a small bridge to cross a gully, in a weekend, by ourselves, on a bet. Then getting stuck mud up to the doors and spending the weekend trying to dig his Chevy Blazer out. Frank was a great roommate and got me reading some fantastic SciFi.
My friends that were surfers, building some of the first snow boards to try to get their surfing fix. There are some great slides and even a super 8 movie somewhere about that.
Smelling like developer fluid after spending an entire weekend in the base photo lab to get one nice print. "
Last Day at Loring: Cold
What did you do after Loring? "Left the USAF spent a year in Europe traveling and working. Then moved to New Hampshire (all roads lead to New England) to work on the cockpit display system for the B1B. Since then I have worked in R&D the medical device industry (coronary stents, angioplasty balloons and other devices). Part of more than a few start ups in different industries over the years.
Moved to the 3D animation and VFX (visual effects) industry in 1998 then became part of a company that develops software used in films and television. Now I'm back in my home town and part of the video game industry.
Married once (15 years)/Divorced with one child, she is now 24 years old.
Life has been pretty good. :)
